Tuition Fees

The following fee information applies to students commencing studies in 2023-24 with programmes validated either by Durham University or Newman University. Tuition fees for students sponsored for ministerial training (by the Church of England or the Methodist Church) are normally covered by the sponsoring churches, and not charged directly to the student.

All programmes marked with an * are potentially eligible for student finance which includes tuition fee loans and (for undergraduate study) maintenance loans.

UNDERGRADUATE – Campus Based Learning

Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) Full Time*	£6,165.00 per annum 1 year duration, studying 120 credits, so this would be the total tuition fee.
Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) Part Time* 60 credits a year	£3,082.50 per annum 2 years duration, usually studying 60 credits per year. Total tuition fee over 2 years: £6,165
Diploma of Higher Education (Dip HE) Full Time*	£6,165.00 per annum 2 years duration, usually studying 120 credits per year. Total tuition fees over 2 years: £12,330

Bachelor of Arts Full Time*	£6,165.00 per annum 3 years duration, usually studying 120 credits per year. Total tuition fees over 3 years: £18,495
Bachelor of Arts Part Time* 60 credits a year	£3,082.50 per annum 6 years duration, usually studying 60 credits per year. Total tuition fees over 6 years: £18,495
Graduate Certificate Part Time 60 credits a year	£2,500.00 per annum 1 year duration, studying 60 credits, so this would be the total tuition fee.
Graduate Diploma Full Time	£5,000.00 per annum 1 year duration, studying 120 credits, so this would be the total tuition fee.

UNDERGRADUATE – Distance Learning

Foundation Award Part time 60 credits per year	£2,580.00 per annum 1 year duration, studying 60 credits, so this would be the total tuition fee.

Postgraduate Certificate Part Time	£2,160.00 per annum 1 year duration, studying 60 credits, so this would be the total tuition fee.
Postgraduate Diploma Part Time	£2,160.00 per annum 2 years duration, usually studying 60 credits per year. Total tuition fees over 2 years: £4,320
Postgraduate Diploma Full Time	£4,320.00 per annum 1 year duration, studying 120 credits, so this would be the total tuition fee.

Postgraduate Diploma Full Time 120 credits	£6,500.00 per annum 1 year duration, studying 120 credits, so this would be the total tuition fee.

POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH

Full-time UK/EU students	£3,734 per year
Part-time UK/EU students	£2,037 per year
Full-time international students	£10,332 per year
Part-time international students	£5,636 per year

Financial Support

Our students access a range of financial support/ bursaries from their individual churches. Alongside other sources of funding available, the Queen’s Foundation is able to offer limited financial support to students through the Queen’s Foundation Bursary Fund. Generated through a generous donation from the Donald and Patricia Marsh Charitable Trust, and supported by Reserves released by the Queen’s Governors, the Bursary Fund has a limited amount each academic year to support eligible students in accordance with clear criteria. Awards are made at the point when students are accepted onto programmes, prior to students beginning their studies. Details of the Bursary Fund, including how to apply, can be found here.
