Open days for Anglican ordinands

Anyone who is already in conversation with their Diocesan Director of Ordinands (DDO) about ordination in the Church of England is welcome to attend one of our Open Days. We invite you to discover what the Queen’s Foundation can offer, through its diverse life and its wide range of educational and formational programmes. Every Open Day will include the opportunity for a one-to-one meeting with a tutor to discuss your training needs, explore suitable pathways and give you the opportunity to ask any questions. Simply enquire through the form at the bottom of this page, and we'll get back to you.

If you are not yet in talks with your DDO, please consult the Church of England website for general information about ministry in the Church of England and the vocation process.

Upcoming Open Day dates

  • November 18th
  • January 27th
  • February 24th
  • May 11th

We are able to offer you overnight accommodation if you have a long journey. Please let us know that you’ll need this when you make your enquiry.

As visiting us in person remains the best way to have a truly immersive experience, if none of the Open day dates is suitable, please do still get in touch with us so we can arrange for you to have an individual visit: to join us in chapel, eat with us and meet some of our staff and students.

Two ways to attend

  • As an enquirer, simply to find out more about what training at Queen's might look like for you; or,
  • As an applicant* if you are already fairly confident that Queen's could be the right place for you.

*If you are attending as an applicant, we will ask you to complete an application form giving details of potential ordination sponsorship category, length of training anticipated, whether full-time or part-time, and your educational background. This will help us talk to you in more detail at the Open Day about the programme we can offer you.

You are welcome to bring a friend, partner or your children along with you when you attend the Open day. They will be warmly welcomed and will have the opportunity to see how life at Queen’s might be for you and them, especially if they will be living here with you.
