If God is calling you to ordained ministry in the Methodist Church as either a Deacon or a Presbyter, your first step is to talk to people in your local Circuit and work through the information and advice on the Methodist Church website about candidating for ministry.

Training for ordination as Deacon or a Presbyter

Once the Methodist Church in Britain has accepted you for ministerial training, the decision about your training pathway will be decided by an Allocations Panel of the Connexional Oversight Committee. Whichever pathway is the one to which you are allocated, Queen’s will equip you to serve a diverse church with confidence and creativity. You will undertake your training in an exciting ecumenical and cross-cultural environment where you will pray, worship, explore faith and test out your call and gifts in ministry together with others.
