Chaplain

The Foundation Chaplain, James Pritchard, is available to all students for confidential support and attentive listening. The Chaplain does not write reports or have anything to do with sponsoring churches; he can bring generic issues to the attention of staff; but only when given permission, or when there are safeguarding concerns will he bring individual matters to the Principal or Centre Director.

James can be contacted by email and he will also be present at some residential events. Where he cannot personally help, he can signpost you to others. Talking to the chaplain is not an alternative to talking with your personal tutor, and sometimes the chaplain will ask you to do just this where formational matters are concerned. The Chaplain provides individual support where matters need to be confidential, but in many cases your local minister or spiritual director/soul friend may also be appropriate people in which to confide.
