I’m an artist, coach, educator and pioneer priest. When I’m not visiting galleries, reading or watching popular science, science fiction or comedy, or listening to electronic dance music, I spend my time developing learning resources for the Church of England Diocese of Ely. Before that, I was a pioneer tutor and priest based in Nottingham, combining parish ministry with a teaching role at St John’s College. My ordained ministry began in Portsmouth almost 20 years ago, first as a curate and then as City Centre Pioneer Minister. Prior to that, I was a graphic designer.
My primary theological interests are in mission and reflective practice. Having been an urban pioneer for all my ministry, work with villages through the pandemic has sparked an interest in the missional genius of village congregations and how their practices of neighbourliness might have something to offer the wider Church. This is now the subject of my doctoral research.

Roles within Queens
I teach mission, discipleship and practical theology distance learning modules.
External Roles and Responsibilities
I am the Development Officer: Learning for the Church of England Diocese of Ely, developing an online learning resources portal – creating and commissioning learning resources for faith explorers, members of churches and authorised, licensed and ordained ministers in their ongoing learning and formation. I am also a Bishops’ Adviser in the Church of England’s ordination vocation discernment process.
Research Interests
I am a doctoral student on the University of Roehampton DTh (Professional Doctorate in Practical Theology) programme, investigating the innate missional wisdom and practices of village parish congregations and what this might have to offer the wider Church.
