For those who wish to acquire an advanced study in theology through a short programme, we offer a Graduate Certificate in theology, ministry and mission. In this part-time course you will study for 60 credits at level 6 modules over one year. In some cases, up to 20 credits a level 5 may be included.

This is an accessible course designed for those who have a degree in another subject, and want to reflect on the Christian relevance of their professional & personal circumstances or wish to go on to study at postgraduate level. In online distance learning mode, it follows a pattern of one module per term, fitting your studies around your work and other commitments. In some cases, it is possible to take this award in face-to-face mode or to blend with online modules, depending on your ability to access the Queen’s campus.

This programme is comprised of 60 credits usually taken in the form of three of the modules below. In face-to-face or blended mode alternative module may be required.

- TMM3101 Christian Doctrine in Focus

- TMM3031 Further New Testament Studies

- TMM3201 Adult Education and the Learning Church

- TMM3441 Justice, Environment and Mission in Global Context

- TMM3141 Church History in Focus

- TMM3341 Independent Learning Project

Applications for entry to this course are accepted at any time, but we enrol new students in the Autumn of each year. Usually, you will need to be a graduate, but we will consider others with relevant qualifications.

Modular costs for the Graduate Certificate are charged on a per credit basis. This fee covers your distance tutor, any classes or groups, online materials and the university validation.
