Queen’s has a Collaboration Agreement with Newman University, Birmingham for validation of academic programmes and pathways:

Bachelor of Arts in Theology (at Level 6 only)

We are no longer recruiting to the BA in Theology Validated by Newman University. However, many former or existing students will continue to work on this programme over the next 3 years. If you are a former student who completed the Diploma in HE validated by Newman University within the last five years and would like to talk to us about the possibility of “topping up” to the full BA please get in touch as soon as possible: admissions@queens.ac.uk.

Summary Through a combination of teaching, placement work and enquiry-based learning, the programme seeks: to foster in students the distinctive skills, understanding and habits of reflective practice that best exemplify, resource and promote the Church’s mission in the world; to enable students to deepen their critical understanding of both classical and contemporary expressions of Christianity, with a focus on lived experience and the peculiar challenges presented by the diversity of current contexts in the UK and across the world; to inform students’ current ministerial practice with a broad range of theological resources; to provide the necessary formation, skills and self-awareness to equip students for recognized roles of public ministry.
